Problems and Trials

A problem well stated is a problem half solved.

My problem is I say what I'm thinking before I think what I'm saying.

People prefer to stay with problems they understand rather than look for solutions they're uncomfortable with.

The one common experience of all humanity is the challenge of problems.

There is only one group of people who don't have problems and they're all dead. Problems are a sign of life. So the more problems you have, the more alive you are.

When we see problems as opportunities for growth, we tap a source of knowledge within ourselves which carries us through.

To the question of your life, you are the only answer. To the problems of your life, you are the only solution. - Jo Coudert

Problems tend to growl at us like cowardly dogs. If we face them and challenge them, they back away. If we run from them, they run after us, snapping at our heels. - Freddie Mitman

If you see your problems as curses, the motivation you're looking for in life will be hard to find. - Steve Chandler

Every generation thinks its problems are unique and potentially fatal. And yet every generation has survived to the next. - Carl Sagan

'I must do something' will always solve more problems than 'Something must be done.' - Unknown Author

There are no problems we cannot solve together, and very few we can solve by ourselves. - Lyndon B. Johnson

Problems call forth our courage and our wisdom; indeed, they create our courage and our wisdom. It is only because of problems that we grow mentally or spiritually. When we desire to encourage the growth of the human spirit, we challenge and encourage the human capacity to solve problems.

I have always grown from my problems and challenges, from the things that don't work out. That's when I've really learned.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.

When you can't solve a problem, manage it.

Problems are only opportunities in work clothes.

The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem.

If you procrastinate when faced with a big difficult problem... break the problem into parts, and handle one part at a time.

Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you don't have any problems, you don't get any seeds.

Be grateful for your problems, for they stimulate an 'I-can-solve-it' new attitude.

You can't solve a problem on the same level that it was created. You have to rise above it to the next level.

Whatever your problem, define it clearly in writing before attempting to solve it.

All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem.

Any solution to a problem changes the problem.

When one's own problems are unsolvable and all best efforts are frustrated, it is lifesaving to listen to other people's problems.

Fortunately, problems are an everyday part of our life. Consider this: If there were no problems, most of us would be unemployed. Realistically, the more problems we have and the larger they are, the greater our value to our employer.

Our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings.
